Psychotherapy

If you've been searching for more out of life, for more peace, joy, comfort, and confidence, along with scientifically backed, proven methods, then you're in the right place. As a licensed psychologist for 21 years, I provide therapy with compassion, care, understanding, and acceptance. I have earned a reputation as a skilled and supportive psychologist who cares deeply for her clients. I primarily work with young adult women and women in midlife. My private practice in psychology is located in beautiful semi-rural Long Valley, New Jersey. We may meet in my cozy, welcoming office, or online – your choice.

I do not participate on any insurance panels. At the end of the session, I provide clients with a receipt that clients can submit to insurance companies for reimbursement for out-of-network benefits. Clients are advised to check their out-of-network benefits prior to initiating psychotherapy.

Focused Consultation Services

Each of the topics below includes two 60-minute sessions. These packages are psychoeducation, and not psychotherapy. They are not covered by insurance. With each topic, you’ll be provided with information based on my 30 years of experience, education, and knowledge. You’ll also be provided with relevant and timely resources, including books, podcasts, articles, and more. This is perfect for you if you’re seeking support, but you’re not interested in psychotherapy. You’ll finish the sessions with information, support, and written material to enhance your life.

Finding Joy and Cultivating Happiness

This program is for those who are interested and committed to focused sessions specifically addressing methods of improving mood and increasing life satisfaction, regardless of what is going on in your life. Methods are science-based and backed by research in psychology. In a private and individualized manner, we will cover ideas and behaviors that you can use for lifelong benefits.

Building Resilience

In consultation sessions, you will be provided with science-based, research-backed methods of building resilience. Resilience is like a muscle. The more you work it, the stronger it grows. These methods will provide you with confidence and strength, help you address adversity, and improve your ability to learn and grow from the challenges in your life. We will cover ideas and behaviors that you can use for lifelong benefits.

Creative Exercises in Mindfulness

In consultation sessions, you will be provided with creative ways to incorporate mindfulness into every day living. Mindfulness research demonstrates that when used regularly, these methods are effective in improving life satisfaction and overall well-being, and in alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety. Methods are science-based and backed by research in psychology. We will cover ideas and behaviors that you can use for lifelong benefits.

Fostering Gratitude

In consultation sessions, you will be provided with creative ways to incorporate gratitude practices into every day living. Psychological research on gratitude demonstrates that when used regularly, these methods are effective in improving life satisfaction and overall well-being, and in alleviating symptoms of depression and anxiety. Methods are science-based and backed by research in psychology. We will cover ideas and behaviors that you can use for lifelong benefits. These methods are accessible to you at any time, feel good in the moment, and have long-term positive benefits.

Harnessing the Power of The Law of Attraction

This program is for those who are interested and committed to focused sessions specifically addressing The Law of Attraction, and helping you with applying the concepts in your professional and personal lives. This program is unique - it is not coaching, and it is not psychotherapy. It is consultation, utilizing my knowledge, training, and experience in cognitive psychology, positive psychology, and The Law of Attraction. Methods are science-based and backed by research in psychology. You will have a program tailored for your individual needs and goals, to help you live the life you were meant to live!

Grief

Peggy is available to guide you and support you through grief 1:1. Peggy has extensive training and experience in grief and loss. She also draws upon her own experiences to help her clients move through grief and feel understood, lighter, and at peace.

Anxiety and Depression Symptom Management

In focused, consultation sessions, we will address science-based, research-backed methods of decreasing anxiety, and improving mood. You will have a program tailored for your individual needs and goals, to help you live with less sadness and stress, and more peace and joy.

Pre-College Check-Up

This is a 2-session package for rising college freshmen. This comprehensive plan will help your child emotionally prepare for college, as well as have tools to cope with depression, anxiety, and stressful situations at college – all based on your child’s interests, personality, strengths, and challenges.

  • Schedule your child’s first session by clicking using the button below!
  • I’ll email a questionnaire for your child to complete and send back to me before the first session.
  • I’ll carefully review your child’s questionnaire and create a personalized tool-kit for your child. We’ll go over the toolkit during our first session, further tailoring it to your child’s specific needs, and the college freshman experience. We’ll set up the next appointment, giving some time in between sessions for your child to implement some of the ideas.
  • Within 48 hours, I’ll email your child the completed personalized tool-kit.
  • During our second session together, we’ll go over emotional functioning/mental health/personal issues and set up a plan of action for their emotional wellness at college.
  • BONUS GIFT: Your child will receive a copy of my book: FEELING Good: 35 Proven Ways to Happiness, Even During Tough Times. This book is filled with research-backed ideas for coping with anxiety and depression, and living their best lives.
